The cars in my life

Cars of my life. Sounds like a soap opera eh? Well, it's almost scarey to think that often times I can relate to my life's happening by what car I owned back then.

Like my first baby, my powder baby blue '75 Ford Gran Torino. All the way up to my present time '2004 Ford F150.

Family History:
'75 Ford Gran Torino -it's a taxi now
'75 Buick Lesabre Custom -one of my best cars
'72 Ford 1/2 ton - mosquito killer, meaning, burned oil!
'62 Ford 3/4 ton truck -almost killed me
'78 Chevrolet Chevette -my Buick banana
'77 Pontiac Gran Prix -cool car
'80 Chevrolet Citation -dependable and great gas mileage
'78 Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck. Pretty good truck.
'86 Ford Crown Victoria -old hiway cop car!
'84 Chysler Lebaron? -gave it to my old girl friend
'91 Chevrolet Sprint -talk about a riot of a car!
'94 Pontiac Bonneville - One smooth floating highway car
'91 Jeep Cherokee Sport - 360,000Km on it and still going
'02 GMC Envoy SLE - Nice SUV for the wife
'04 Ford F150 Lariat - Nice riding truck from Chanel
'11 Ford F150 Lariat - Nice powerful truck from Lutz

fordt
'75 Ford Gran Torino, 351cu in, 4 door,
had it from 1979-1981,gutless, but it was my first baby!

buicks
'75 Buick Lesabre - all 3 of them!

The middle one I drove had a 400cu inch engine, 4 door, was dependable and power to spare on highway. Bad design with radiators though, kept overheating and leaking the rad. Starter is in a retarded place.

That's the last time I'll get under a car at -40f and change something.

The other 4 door I used for parts, and the 2 door version I gave away to a native missionary.
Total cost to me for having all three was about $1,500!

citation

'80 Chev Citation and my '78 (or '75 can't remember now) Chev truck.

The Citation was a good dependable car, my first front wheeler, and sure came in handy during the winter. The previous owner took a lot of the pollution stuff off it, and I got 40mpg!

Somethings wrong when you save on gas taking that stuff off, means less fuel consumed, less exhaust, less pollution then when it has it on...

That car was dependable, and I took it everywhere. Took 5 kids and me down to Youth Quake in '89, and they weren't small either!

chevette

My '78 Chevette.  I forgot to put in this picture the grille that I have on it.  Got it from a '86 Buick Lesabre, and it fitted perfectly.  Says something about the new full size cars eh?  Well with that Buick grille, and a set of car horns off my old '75 Buick, I called this car my Bic Banana! My first small car, and it was a riot.

my buick chevette or bic banana

Plymouth_Ford
My '84 Plymouth Caravelle (red) and My '86 Ford (blue)

 granprix
My '77 Pontiac Gran Prix, with Buick Grand National Mag Wheels...
400 cubic inch engine, TH700 tranny, P235/75R15 UniRoyal Tiger Paw tires and lots of pep!
VARRROOOOM, VARRROOOM!!!
Sheesh I look like an undercover narcotics officer eh...

GranPrix

Robin, Dorion, and Sheldon at Youth Quake "decorated" up my car.
But it was a slick looking car, and had lots of power. Jet Black. Very elegant.
The youth in my old church loved to rod around in it with me...
