Outlook 2002 Update
Microsoft has issued the first in a planned series of
regular updates for individual Office XP programs. This first
update for Outlook 2002 resolves performance problems with
Exchange Server, especially with Instant Messaging enabled. It
also restores the feature that expands the folder list when
the Rules Wizard moves a message to a folder and makes Outlook
remember MSN mail passwords. See

Exchange OWA Vulnerability - Take 3
Microsoft has issued a third version of the Exchange update
to close a vulnerability in Exchange 2000 and Exchange 5.5
that could allow users to open
an attachment that could run malicious HTML script code,
regardless of the type of attachment. The patch available at
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS01-030 changes the
attachment behavior so that users will always be prompted to
download attached documents to the local system before opening
them. Apparently the second version of the Exchange 2000 patch
contained outdated files. If you downloaded the Exchange 2000 patch
before June 13, you
should download the latest version. The original Exchange 5.5
version is apparently OK. (14 Jun)
